Changes to Wardle Transport services from 2 September 2012

Several local bus services in the Newcastle, Staffordshire and Stoke on Trent Areas will be revised from Sunday 2 September 2012 following recent re-tendering of local bus services by the local authority.

Here are the changes to your local bus service:

Service X1: Stone – Sandon – Weston - Stafford
No change to route or timetable.

Service X50: Hanley – Uttoxeter – Derby
Revised route and timetable. Service diverted to serve Tean, Checkley, Fole and Beamhurst between Blythe Bridge and Uttoxeter along with Doveridge between Uttoxeter and Sudbury.

Service 1: Stone - Stonefield
No change to route or timetable.

Service 2: Stone – Aston Lodge
No change to route or timetable.

Service 3: Stone - Stonefield
No change to route or timetable.

Service 3A: Hanley – Milton – Baddeley Green Circular
No change to route or timetable.

Service 7: Longton – Blythe Bridge – Cheadle – Tean – Longton

Additional journeys introduced between Birches Head and Hanley, improved frequency introduced throughout the day Monday to Saturday with buses running up to every 30 minutes. New Monday to Saturday evening service for hospital visiting.

Service 44: Hanley – Bagnall – Stanley
Revised timetable. Several departures at 50 minutes past each hour are withdrawn. Together services 44 and 45 provide a 30 minute frequency over common sections of route.

Service 45: Hanley – Abbey Hulton
New route and timetable. Service will run hourly Monday to Saturday. Together services 44 and 45 provide a 30 minute frequency over common sections of route.

Service 47: Longton – Dresden – Langland Drive
Revised route and timetable. New hourly frequency introduced daytime.

Service 48: Longton – Goms Mill

Service 69: Hanley – Middleport – Tunstall
New route and timetable. Service runs hourly daytime Monday to Saturday.

Service 76: Tunstall – Mill Hill - Chell Heath
Service withdrawn. New service 88 runs between Tunstall and Mill Hill.

Service 80: Hanley – Bucknall – Eaton Park Circular
Revised route and timetable. Service introduces a more direct route to Hanley.

Service 81: Hanley – Abbey Hulton Circular

Service 86: Tunstall – Packmoor – Biddulph
New route and timetable. Service runs hourly daytime Monday to Saturday via Brindley Ford. Now extended to serve Brown Lees Estate and Biddulph.

Our improved X50 service also meets requests from residents in Draycott, Tean, Checkley and Doveridge who need to travel to Derby, Derby Royal Hospital, Stoke for college, university and Hanley – this is a great to time to be moving up a gear so get on board.”
